Bighorn ram

Bighorn ram

Bighorn sheep move in groups in Glacier’s alpine and east side. Rams grow enormous horns (which differ from antlers in that they do not drop off yearly) that they use to batter each other during the rut every fall in competitions for mates. Photo: David Restivo, NPS
